MONDAY-Hill section of Turners Falls TUESDAY-Downtown TF, the Patch & Montague City WEDNESDAY-Millers Falls THURSDAY-Lake Pleasant FRIDAY-Industrial Boulevard
Residents may experience low water pressure and/or discolored water. Discolored water is caused by the disturbance of natural sediment and minerals in the water mains. Fire hydrant flushing is done annually and is imperative for water quality and to be sure all hydrants in town are working properly.
The Turners Falls Water Department is required to develop a materials inventory of all water service lines served by TFWD. Service lines are the pipes that connect the water main in the street with the pipes in your home. Piping has a section from the main to the curb box (TFWD side) and a section from the curb box to the structure (Resident/Private side). Letters were sent this summer asking for the public's help in identifying service lines. Our initial inventory was completed in October 2024. Additional letters will be mailed to those properties with incomplete data within the next month.

The TFWD's water service line inventory is a requirement of the U.S. Environmental Protection (EPA) Lead and Copper Rule Revision. This initial inventory can be viewed in our office Monday - Thursday 8:30-4:30 and Friday 8:00-3:00.
